As a Senior Data Management Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, building, and enabling analytics solutions on modern cloud data platforms. This role focuses on solving complex data integration and modeling challenges using Snowflake and dbt, while partnering closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver trusted, high-impact analytics solutions.

This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise and consulting skills, including the ability to lead discovery, translate business needs into well-designed data models, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze data from diverse source systems to understand upstream business processes, data semantics, and integration requirements
• Lead discovery and requirements-gathering efforts with business and technical stakeholders to shape analytics solutions
• Design and implement scalable Snowflake-based data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption
• Develop, test, and maintain robust, performance-optimized ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt best practices
• Build curated, analytics-ready data models that enable self-service reporting and decision-making
• Apply analytics engineering best practices, including modular modeling, testing, documentation, and version control using dbt
• Identify and resolve complex data integration, data quality, and performance issues across the analytics stack
• Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows for data pipelines and analytics models using GitHub or GitLab
• Lead or support data migrations from on-premises or legacy platforms to Snowflake
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on data modeling standards, transformation patterns, and analytics architecture
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using agile delivery methodologies
• Support release management for data platforms, pipelines, and analytics assets
• Design and manage workflow orchestration and monitoring for data pipelines
• Ensure data platform security, including role-based access control and secure data sharing within Snowflake
• Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, including presenting technical concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data management roles
• Strong experience designing and delivering analytics solutions on Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, and security
• Hands-on experience using dbt for analytics engineering, including model development, testing, and documentation
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, multi-layer queries, and analytical patterns
• Experience developing ELT pipelines in a modern cloud data platform environment
• Strong understanding of modern data warehousing, analytics engineering, and semantic modeling concepts
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and version control using GitHub and or GitLab
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into well-structured data models and analytics solutions
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills, including stakeholder communication, expectation management, and solution ownership
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Experience working in agile, client-facing, or consulting environments

The Head of Technical Delivery – India is the senior-most technical and delivery leader for Cleartelligence’s India organization. This role is responsible for technical excellence, architectural consistency, and delivery rigor across all India-based client work. This leader provides hands-on technical guidance, sets delivery and architecture standards aligned to Cleartelligence’s partner platforms, and ensures India teams consistently deliver client-ready, scalable, and high-quality solutions in collaboration with U.S. Portfolio Leads and Practice Directors.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery Leadership & Architecture (35%)

• Serve as the senior technical authority for India-based delivery across:
  • Cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
  • BI & analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Sigma)
  • Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
  • AI/ML and analytics enablement (Microsoft AI, Snowflake Cortex, Databricks ML, cloud-native AI services)
• Provide hands-on guidance on:
  • Data architecture, analytics engineering, semantic layers, and visualization standards
  • Platform selection, design trade-offs, and best practices across partner ecosystems
  • Performance, scalability, cost optimization, and security considerations
• Establish and enforce technical standards, patterns, and reference architectures aligned to partner best practices
• Review solution designs and delivery approaches for complex, high-impact, or at-risk engagements

Client Delivery Enablement & Escalation Support (20%)

• Act as the senior escalation point for technical and delivery issues across India-supported engagements
• Support teams in resolving complex delivery challenges related to data modeling, performance, BI scalability, or cloud architecture
• Partner with Portfolio Leads and Solutions Architects to ensure:
  • Technical solutions align to client business needs
  • Delivery approaches meet quality, SLA, and client-readiness expectations
• Participate selectively in client discussions where senior technical credibility is required

Partner Alignment & Technical Capability Building (15%)

• Ensure India delivery teams are aligned with Cleartelligence’s strategic partners and offerings
• Translate partner best practices (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft, AWS, BI platforms) into:
  • Delivery playbooks
  • Architecture standards
  • Reusable accelerators and templates
• Drive technical enablement through:
  • Certifications and partner training
  • Internal knowledge sharing and technical forums
  • Mentorship of senior engineers and architects

Talent Development, Hiring & Technical Leadership (15%)

• Define technical hiring profiles aligned to Cleartelligence’s service offerings and partner platforms
• Partner with recruiters and Practice Directors on:
  • Technical interviews and standards
  • Hands-on assessments and architecture reviews
• Develop Team Leads and Technical Leads capable of owning delivery quality and mentoring consultants
• Build career paths that grow consultants from strong engineers into client-facing technical consultants

Delivery Excellence, Process & Quality (10%)

• Implement lightweight delivery frameworks and playbooks for:
• Partner with recruiters and Practice Directors on:
  • Agile analytics delivery
  • Data engineering and BI development
  • Client-ready quality checks and peer reviews
  • Hands-on assessments and architecture reviews
• Ensure consistent use of tools (e.g., Jira, documentation standards) to improve delivery visibility and predictability

People Leadership & Culture (5%)

• Foster a consulting culture emphasizing ownership, accountability, and client impact

The Senior Technical Team Lead – Data Management is a senior technical leader and people manager responsible for building, managing, and scaling an India-based Data Management delivery team while ensuring architectural excellence across client engagements.

This role reports directly to the Practice Director, Data Management and serves as a key leadership position within the global practice. The successful candidate will balance people management responsibilities (hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development) with hands-on architectural leadership across modern cloud data platforms, with a strong with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, and enterprise data management best practices.

The role is accountable for delivery quality and technical standards for the assigned client engagement and partners closely with US-based architects, project managers, and client stakeholders to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. Within a matrixed organization, this role retains ownership of solution integrity, architectural alignment, and the professional growth and data management guidance of assigned team members.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership & Team Management

• Directly manage and grow a team of data engineers and consultants based in India.
• Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and career development for team members.
• Establish clear expectations, development plans, and feedback mechanisms to support individual and team growth.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with the Practice Director on workforce planning, capacity management, and succession planning.

Technical & Architectural Leadership

• Serve as the technical authority for data platforms across assigned client engagements.
• Lead architecture and design decisions related to modern data platforms, including:
  • Data warehouse and lakehouse patterns
  • Data modeling strategies
  • Security, access control, and compliance design
• Provide deep, hands-on architectural leadership for Snowflake-based implementations, including:
  • Performance optimization and cost governance in Snowflake
  • Snowflake-specific architecture, scalability, and operational best practices
  • dbt-based transformation and modeling standards, including project structure, testing strategies, deployment patterns, and CI/CD integration
• Provide architectural guidance for other modern cloud data platforms as needed, such as Databricks, with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and align solutions to client requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance for ELT ingestion frameworks using Fivetran and related tooling.
• Review and approve solution designs, data models, dbt code, and pipeline implementations.
• Anticipate technical risks and proactively drive design improvements to ensure scalability and reliability.

Delivery Ownership & Quality Assurance

• Own delivery outcomes for India-based teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and client expectations.
• Ensure consistent application of data management best practices across ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption layers.
• Define and enforce coding standards, documentation requirements, and technical operating procedures.
• Oversee testing, validation, deployment, and release management activities.
• Monitor delivery health, technical debt, and platform sustainability across engagements.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

• Act as a senior technical leader and escalation point for client-facing issues.
• Partner with US-based stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences on architecture, risks, and delivery progress.
• Provide transparent reporting on team performance, delivery status, and technical challenges.

Practice & Organizational Contribution

• Contribute to the evolution of the Data Management practice through reusable assets, reference architectures, and delivery frameworks.
• Participate in internal architecture reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and capability development initiatives.
• Provide regular feedback to practice leadership on tooling, standards, and skill gaps.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Experience

• 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or enterprise data management.
• 5+ years of deep Snowflake experience, including architecture, optimization, security, and administration.
• 3+ years of dbt experience, with demonstrated ownership of standards and large-scale implementations.
• Strong experience with ELT ingestion tools such as Fivetran.
• Experience with Databricks or similar lakehouse platforms.
• Advanced SQL expertise and strong data modeling fundamentals.
• Experience designing cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Working knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow or equivalent) and Python for data engineering use cases.
• Experience implementing data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

Leadership & Management Experiences

• 3+ years of direct people management experience in a data or analytics environment.
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing technical teams.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance delivery, quality, and people outcomes.
