Swim USA is global industry leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of branded, licensed, and private label swimwear. Founded in 1936, Swim USA is a privately owned, multi-generational company whose clients include some of the largest retailers and brands in the world, including Amazon, Target, Walmart and Ralph Lauren.
A business with this much longevity and success depends on the quality of its people and its data. But connection challenges with its ERP system compromised its data reloading capacity, causing data quality issues and frequent crashes. Making matters worse, a Qlik on-premise analytics solution that was supposed to help teams get the insights they needed wasn’t deployed properly, so its speed and performance lagged. As users across the company—from product management and merchandising to IT and operations—became increasingly frustrated, their common complaint to IT was “We don’t have any data.” As frustration grew and trust declined, only about 40% of eligible team members were using the Qlik system, making business decision making more challenging and time consuming.
